Did you mean “Russia is now in….” rather than “not in”?

I think Russia don’t have the manpower or equipment to staunch this quick enough before it spreads and does more damage! Hooray for Ukraine!

"For every single minute Ukraine stays in Russia, the myth of Russian power projection crumbles."

From @wesodonnell. Hell ya.

Being nostagic, I still wish Ukraine had had the support at the time to exploit russian weakness when Prigozhin revolted. But better late than never.

There’s a multi point purpose behind it. First and foremost it forces Russia to redeploy forces and logistics from up north creating gaps that can be potentially exploited. I gives a lot of negative press to Russia and gives the Ukrainians a morale boost from hitting Russia. It also is a less mined area so it offers freedom to maneuver so the Ukraine could potentially use it as an avenue to sweep north and flank certain Russian forces if desired.

Hopefully this damages public support of the war in Russia and so puts pressure on Putin to end the war

I've noticed that, while doing doing time-constrained google searches for news on Ukraine, that the results that come from the (Modi-controlled?) press in India are echoing the dubious Russian talking points. Gangster solidarity, I guess.
