Hi Ryan- I just finished all four hours- getting work done as well, but-
On the ByteDance stuff- the question is not who owns it (and Danny seems focused on ownership) but who controls it. If there is a chain of ownership through China then the CCP does exercise control. And that leaves out clandestine channels.
I seem to recall that the house bill restricted the target to social media companies controlled by nation states. Five were mentioned: China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and one I don't recall. And don't hold me to it- it has been two or three months and I have not personally reviewed any version, let alone the one that went to the Senate.
Ryan, you got some facts wrong in the podcast with Jones today. The Israelis didn’t hit a helicopter manufacturer, they hit an S300 SAM site taking out the main radar at the military base just north of the civilian airport in Isfahan. Check it out — the NYT and several X posters have satellite photos of the before and after. This site is one of the main air defense sites protecting the nuclear site at the Natanz nuclear facility many miles further to the NE of Isfahan. It was a very subtle but very significant move. The IAF just demonstrated they could reach out and touch (undetected, I hear) a very important air defense asset. Why is that significant? Along with command and control, what’s top of the target list in any quest for air superiority? Think about it.
Question for ya Ryan. The U.S. has not built a nuclear weapon since the early 90’s, much less tested one.
Recently, a U.S. Air Force General testified before Congress that our Minute Men III’s have reached their effective lifespan and no one knows if these even function as intended.
The Chinese and Russians have continued to build up their nuclear arsenal like sausages since Reagan told us the Cold War ended. In other words, the Cold War never ended.
We make worthless treaties over 5 decades with the Commies to deplete each of our nuke arsenals but the Commies never stopped. What makes you think that we are still superior to the Chinese or Russians in 2024?
We are building new nuclear weapons - the B61-13 gravity bomb and the new Sentinel missile come to mind.
We don't really "need" to test warheads anymore since much of that can be simulated on a supercomputer.
I think that the one advantage we have is that our weapons work. I have a hard time believing that the Russians are maintaining their nuclear stockpile at 100%. Remember, isotopes like Tritium decay and need to be replaced periodically. Is it reasonable to think that if Russia was underfunding its land forces that somehow it would fund its strategic rocket forces at 100%.
The missiles on their ballistic missile submarines probably work, and maybe some gravity bombs, but I would not be surprised if their warheads have decayed over time with no money to replace them.
Are you familiar with the work of the late Dr. Peter Vincent Fry?
This report came out in 2020. This was very concerning then and still applies today.
We, the U.S., have no way of knowing if our nuclear weapons will work if needed. Our leaders have this assumption that everyone is simply afraid to go against the U.S.
Are you familiar with any of the late Dr. Pry’s work? Pages 3-6 tell his thoughts in The Real Nuclear Balance.
We (our leadership) have not understood that the grand strategy all along has been to destroy the U.S. The Communists have never stopped in this plan. One Clenched Fist.
Ryan, did you get a chance to read this one report by Dr. Fry? FYI he has a lot of writings, reports, books on this subject, including EMP attacks resulting in widespread blackouts here in the States that WILL happen once the ChiComs “punch” a button to take down our grid and infrastructure.
Our government, failed leadership (both Democrat and Republican) gets an “F” in protecting average Joe Schmoe’s like me and my family and friends over the past 5 decades.
Hell, they don’t even do Civil Defense drills or push information out to the public any more because the “Savior” Ronald Reagan came along in the early 80’s and “eliminated” the Communist threat (satire). We are screwed as a nation. Infiltrated today as the Nazis did in Europe before their advance.
Military-aged Chinese males (and I’m sure Russian Spetsnaz) as well) continue to pour into this country via the Darien Gap. See it all the time via former Green Beret Michael Yon’s own personal on site reporting since 2020!
Anyway, you need to familiarize yourself with Peter Vincent Pry’s work. And read geo political analyst JR Nyquist’s work. They’re two of the good guys, like you in this screwed up nation of ours.
Last thing. Read “Blacklisted By History” by M. Stanton Evans (2007). History is repeating itself. Our own children are being “dumbed down” and not taught history any longer.
4H well wurth the time. skål from Norway

Great show! That was never 4 hours. :-)
You mentioned a few other sources and content creators you recommend. Do you have these listed somewhere? Thanks!
Preston Stewart was one I recognized.
And follow. But don't pay for.
Thanks!
That was just too much fun!!

China might be a different story.

No, but I can look at the report

It's on my list. I have a lot to read.
