Yes these vessels will be useful for the stated task, but what a great way to cover the forward deployment of them for future use in Lebanon or Ukraine...
There will be “boots on the ground” in 30 days and American casualties shortly thereafter.
There is a non-zero chance of that happening.
There are other countries involved - I'm guessing that they'll use UAE troops on the land side for 3 reasons:
1) They aren't US troops
2) They speak Arabic
3) The UAE has a good relationship with Israel including military.

100% it's not all about providing aid - that's just the story we're being told.
