Thank you Ryan. It’s terrible to see people die, but the truth is important in this world of mis/disinformation.

I don't think there is anything terrible about russian invaders dying. They put themselves there to kill innocent people.

The Sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch...it is a tabloid not a newspaper with journalist.

Expand full comment

A tabloid is a news paper and the Sun has journalists.

No, a tabloid is not a newspaper, a newspaper reports news that's been fact checked from at least 3 sources, tabloids print gossip, like stories about death rays.

People who work for tabloids are not journalists, they're purveyors of gossip.

Sadly in this day and age once credible newspapers like The Washington Post have gone the way of tabloids wherein they'll print something without fact checking it usually because it fits a political agenda, they may not be to the point of a rag like The Sun where they'll run a ridiculous story like one about death rays but still their credibility these past years has waned because they've been caught printing nonsense they were too eager to print because it fit their political agenda and didn't bother or care enough to fact check things, which is why it's understandable that someone who's too young to know of the day when there was a difference between a real newspaper and a tabloid like The National Enquirier that you picked up in a supermarket check out line that ran stories about things like a Bat Boy that was found living in someone's attic, there actually was a time when there was a difference between the two, you not understanding the difference between the two is only an indication that you weren't around when there was a difference between the two, or you have a short memory and you've forgotten it.

By your standards the New York Times is a tabloid!

Expand full comment

It's become more of one as it's reporters have agendas that show up their articles.

I do not know how old you are and it doesn't matter as ignorance knows no age. A tabloid by definition is "a NEWSPAPER having pages half the size of those of a standard newspaper, typically popular in style and dominated by headlines, photographs, and sensational stories." Emphasis added. While some tabloids like the National Enquirer may have been less reliable than others it does not represent all tabloids. I didn't say that The Sun is particularly reliable nor would I admit that having full size pages confers truth upon other newspapers. It is incumbent upon people to choose their words wisely. A more appropriate comment than the one to which I referred may have been "The Sun is a tabloid owned by Rupert Murdoch and I find it to be unreliable." That would be ones opinion and not filled with inaccuracies. When one aludes to a companies lack of truthful reporting he should do so without his own.

The “NEWSPAPER” you emphasized to support your point is referring to the actual paper media the words are printed on - not the place where the business of news is written.

- “No, I don’t work for the Newspaper, I’m a writer for the Sun. We print our scandals on NEWSPAPER, but we’re not journalists. We do the print equivalent of clickbait sensationalism and write stories about buzzfeed quiz results”.

The New York Times has written fake articles glorifying Communism for 50 years. They have always been a shill to communist leaders. From Cuba, Russia, Venezuela, Guatemala.

You dunces really are post-fact, aren't you. The new York times, a premier voice for capital, occasionally disagrees with conservative conspiracy theories, so they must actually be communist. Right.

You can forgive Tim his ignorance. Those who get their info from the conservative "News" outlets have been told for decades that all sources outside of the ones they watch/read are now communists. It used to be "liberals media", but now they use the old McCarthy smear tactics and call anyone who doesn't believe their misinformation "commies. Different day...Same crap.

One point, people skim through newspapers. Many times the headline or photo description do not fit the story. Aka:clickbait

No, they are all tabloids. None of them report any real facts that don't support the narrative of the owning company/person.

Of course it wasn't a death ray, it was famous Ukrainian haunted grass.

It looks like it may be easier to fight russians than this amount of nonsense around us.

Thank you Ryan!

It is never a good time to be invader.

Yeah, calling the sun a newspaper is like calling McDonald’s a restaurant

Yeap like calling the New York Times or the Washington Post newspapers with Journalists.

Tim, friendo, you're too far down the rabbit hole to have a meaningful opinion. The second tucker picks up his own "death ray" story, you're going to look just as dumb repeating the same nonsense

Sometimes they do real journalism, just like a broken watch being right at least twice a day...

Death Ray or Parmesan cheese. Whatever it was it worked like a charm and eliminated invaders.

The Sun just straight up lie all the time. Like just 100% made up. And have been involved in plenty of extreme controversies for decades.

For reference, if you were to put a points ranking, then AP would have let's say 10,000 points. Some of them most well known dreadful deceitful sources like the Daily Mail would be at maybe 100. Then The Sun would be at like a 5.

They're worse than Fox News in the US.

That said, of course they're all the Murdoch empire.+ Fox News, Daily Mail, The Sun, Sky News (ranked maybe 900 on my arbitrary scaling), etc etc. The sooner the dies the better. And I'd give anything for his media conglomerate to collapse. It has been responsible for the world starting to significantly veer off the track of improvement it has been on since WW2 (well much further back than WW2, but the relative peace and slow disappearance of extreme poverty).

The Sun is a British 'Newspaper' that once used the headline "No Nobby Bobby Keeps Jobby" refering to a transgender police officer. Enough said?

Ryan you need to find the whole video. The group is hit 3 separate times by the same thing in about 30sec to 1min intervals. I'd agree if it was one hit but it's 3 separate hits at different points on the same group

Looks like Ukraine is getting the upgraded M2A2-ODS SA version of the Bradley rather than the M2A2-ODS.

The Situation Awareness upgrade includes several improvements over the M2A2-ODS including the driver camera and upgraded sights."
