When he wrote his first draft he was told he could not publish it because there was classified information in it. He asked what parts were classified and the reviewer said,”I can’t tell you.”
Several other drafts were written.
It was said that several Ronald Regan liked the hunt for red October and he gave many copies as gifts when it came out.
The rest is history
Will be my next Audible listen Ryan! You said this was kinda like Guns of the South, another al history novel I enjoyed.
