My already good opinion of you improved because of the beautiful sentiments you wrote here, Ryan.

They’re not like us. You invade a country with 3000 terrorists and countless “civilians” rape, murder, torture, and kidnap…..pure evil. You can’t live next door to people like that. Future democracy?? Like what other Arab or Muslim country will they model? Nazism and the militaristic Japanese Empire must be completely defeated. As must this version of Islam.

The region has a long and infamous history of inter and intra tribal conflicts, Shia-Sunni clashes and so much ancillary issues, but most of all, the political objectives of the various warring leadership factions, have no base in what’s best for the people of the areas, they’re literally just pawns, as it’s all about power and the accumulation of wealth… and as for lasting peace, as they say, “the enemy of my enemy is my ally… until they’re not”

I spent my whole professional life working to put people back together. I think it’s wrong to kill unless you do so to prevent someone from killing you or someone under your charge/care (e.g. a patient or family member, etc.) AND THEN ONLY AS A LAST RESORT.

The Palestinian people have been victimized and to some extent, at least for a portion of the population, complacent if not complicit with Hamas. No one who hasn’t had to make the choice they were forced to make can know what their lives were like.

I don’t have the answers for how to allow these two groups to coexist in a small overcrowded space like GAZA.

I do know the opposite of hate is love. More hate teaches hate and only love can counteract hate.

I also know that for evil to succeed good people only have to do nothing! (Source?)

Thank you for your service, thank you for your support, and thank you for trying to be part of the solution.

I hope and pray no more people need to die!

I also understand Israel’s need for sovereignty and security. I think the Israelis have exercised some restraint and tried to limit collateral damage. They had the technology to flatten the entire Gaza Strip and make a quiet neighborhood for the next 10,000 years.

Maybe, just maybe we will have a miracle. Hopefully the remaining combatants holding hostages will understand their only hope for survival is to release them.

We shall see.

Oh and this too.

"Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

This may go against some peoples sensibilities, so be warned. This is also my opinion in some parts.

The pen is weak, just like our western politicians. The pen is why the world is like it is, far too many agreements in which only one side abides by them and the other side smiles and ignores and do what they want in the name of islamic ideology or communist goals.

"Words of peace, words of light...they hold no meaning to those that wish to conquer or impose ideology and all the meaning to those that wish the fighting to stop and are unwilling to defend themselves or fight for that peace or their freedom." Quote, me.

islam is an ideology, not a religion. Like anything, religion or those things posing as religions are created by Humans to control Humans. One example are verses (ayah) from the qur'an "god" to the prophet muhammad about staying too long for a dinner and wearing out your welcome. Other more violent and more absurd verses from "god" to muhammad also exist, of the 114 surah's that most see, there are some pretty nasty ones that have been left out, not revised, but left out of most mainstream copies.

When Humans see no reason and think only in terms of ideology, then those Humans are in a cult, and live by cult rules they do not fear moral choices because they have none. When a child can happily strap on a bomb and then walk up to anyone and then set it off, and then the child's family and it's people praise the act, then those people are beyond repair and they should not be allowed to roam free in Human society on the rest of the planet.

I saw quite a few of the go pro tapes released by Israel from dead hamas militants and a few that slipped through the cracks but were snatched up quite fast.

There is no amount of pain Israel can inflict that will equal the pure barbarism that hamas and it's supporters inflicted that October day. The act of burning a baby alive in an oven, or raping a women and while committing the act...well, I am sure Ryan can find those vids if he has the connections he says he has.

These self named palestinians and hamas, and any other ideology following individuals that commit intentional acts like they did on October 7th deserve no quarter, no peace until they are wiped from this planet, that is my opinion.

If a job must be finished, then finish that job. After 22 years in the military and two major wars, I believe in measuring twice and cutting once.

I would just add that the pen is as mighty as the one using it. IE now vs 4 or even 24 years ago.

The death of Sinwar means nothing. The Israelis won't stop until every Arab in Israel is expelled or dead. Mr McBeth is giving cover to an ongoing genocide. He is probably a paid employee of the Israeli government in some way.

42,000 men, women, boys, girls, infants - anyone who is Palestinian is considered a terrorist will be slaughtered without mercy by Benjamin NetanyaHitler. And our nation is paying for it all.

How much mercy did Sinwar show his own people? There is a reason he was called the butcher of Khan Yuunis. Sinwar knew what he was doing on Oct.7th. You evidently don't get it. If you ever meet a socialpath like Sinwar run they prey on useful idiots like you.

Hey, Ryan, Alhamdulillah for that thoughtful post. I see you are already getting grief for it. Surely 40,000+ dead people are enough for now, enough payback for October 7th. The Gaza war has brought enough suffering for the families of the hostages, the people of Gaza and the Israeli's in and out of uniform, who have also been suffering through this time.

Like the Bible, the Koran is full of text that can be underlined for the sake for peace, and love, or for war and revenge. At one time or another, the human heart hungers for both forgiveness and for revenge and it is our duty as decent humans always try to look towards the light and away from the darkness, no matter how hard that may be. For a quick reference on that, check out Jesus Christ a profit also to be found in the Koran.

I think your post was heart felt and courageous and I thank you for it.

I must say Ryan, the story you shared about the tree of al-Hudaybiyah is very true and many Muslims know about it. You do indeed have more than a surface level knowledge of Islam. But why this analogy? The story serves as a warning to not turn things into idols. But I am unaware of Gazans or Hamas turning Yahya into an idol, or anybody else for that matter. So what is this analogy supposed to mean?

The “Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.” Its time they world stop painting a rosy picture of all these Palestinian terrorist factions as freedom fighters. They are extremist terrorist that only want death and destruction in the middle east so they can exert an image of power over the people they say Allah wants them to kill.
