I like Mike Baker, but it's obvious he has NOT read up on the situation in Ukraine. Being on Joe Rogan can get you views. But it doesn't make you good. Being in the "Company" once can teach you a lot of skills. But, many skills atrophy over time. This seems to be the case.

His channel is still new. Being on YouTube isn't easy. I'll give him a few more shots.

My research time is precious. If I'm taking the time to watch a YouTube video its because I expect to glean something new and useful. Not something I just read myself on Telegram 2 days earlier.

None of this is a reflection or critique of Ryan...btw.

He seems reasonable, but assuredly trying to lean into right wing politics if he can get away with it...

The anti-woke commercial stopped me from listening further... I respect you and understand our political views differ, but I pay attention to you because you are strong on facts over opinions... And most of the time you don't let politics enter the conversation... Keep up the good work!

I'm a liberal but not woke. Sincerely hoping it's dying a natural death all by its stupid self.

I lost any and all interest in whatever Mike Baker, “the all talk and no meaning” supposed CIA operative, proffers - just go back to his “all talk say nothing meaningful” discussions

on the terrible/misinformed rant-fest of self-medicated “too many head butts” Joe R, and y’all will see… sad to see that RM graced this tool-dolt w/ his presence…IMHO of course….

Hi Ryan, thanks for the connection to this podcast. I follow two other excellent Ukraine reporters on Substack but your perspective is always unique and valuable. I was quite taken aback by your opinion that trump if elected, would continue to support Ukraine. He, JD Vance and the rest of the GOP have made it pretty clear they have no interest in Ukraine, so I really hope you are right.

Free Palestine = freedom for Hamas, certainly not for anyone else.

Hamas only controls Gaza. They have nothing to do with the West Bank so you are wrong just on the face of things. Hamas as a political organization can be dealt with and taken out of power with fair and free elections with UN observers. Most of the people that elected Hamas in 2006 are dead anyway and were before this conflict.

Hamas is actually very strong in the West Bank, and looks to overtake the Palestinian Authority. And "free and fair elections?" right. And I have no reason to believe your last statement.

I have three suggestions that I hope are already in use. They will be confidential for maybe 3 months to a year but they might save a few lives in that time is there any way to get them to you?

For your blood delivering system. Have the package contained two counter-rotating propellers. When it gets close to the ground they reverse and slow the package down. May be able to get by with just one if it has large pop out fins. May be able to deliver a secure radio to somebody in need.

The ‘Military Industrial Complex’ (MIC) does not demonstrate a huge profit on paper because of public perception. It is too easy to influence policy if budgetary considerations can be argued. The merging of MIC providers was not because of their lack of profitability, but rather to manage security. Besides, the most valuable commodity in the world is not money, it is influence. Power and the freedom to operate outside of regulatory oversight under the umbrella of National Security for the supporting infrastructure is where the MIC lives. It is a necessary evil in a world of aggressive nations that use military intimidation as their means of expansion.
