I’m donating the money from this YouTube video to World Central Kitchen. As well as any T-shirt sales from Bunker Branding.
Many lies have been spread by Americans regarding the response to Hurricane Helene. Here are the facts:
1. National Guard and Active Duty soldiers and Airmen from multiple states are assisting in search and rescue, aid delivery and cleanup. The primary goal is to get the roads open.
2. FEMA does not have arrest powers. They are not confiscating food.
3. Volunteers who are not coordinating with the National Guard are hurting more than they are helping.
4. The hurricane was not engineered by the US Government or Blackrock to grab land for a lithium mine.
The main culprits in this disinformation are internet gadfly I Meme Therefore I Am
And conspiracy theorist Stew Peters.

Imagine having such a worthless pathetic life that you have to make a living trolling and lying about a public disaster that killed over a hundred people.
Yeah, this is a much more complex issue than Ryan is presenting. The Star Link/ FEMA hassle kind of shows you that (when an issue has to be resolved at cabinet secretary- CEO level, that doesn't speak well for the organization).
As a look at anticipated response, it's not realistic to expect FEMA/ National Guard to be there in the first 24 hours, so you have to rely on local organizations and volunteers.
A lot of the negative reports originated from this early phase and really centered around poor performance of local officers. That was pretty well documented by at least one of the YouTubers on scene.
As to 'trolls' 'bots' and misinfo- well maybe we should revisit Taibbi's Twitter files. Sometimes it's better to call bullshit just that and not ascribe it to anything else.
"You shouldn't politicize a tragedy,' well if the government didn't live up to your expectations you better damn well politicize it, otherwise it won't get fixed.
