I've noticed thousands of recent new members with moronic names followed by a series of numbers and letters, which I now know are trolls and troll farms trying like hell to spread confusion and doubt, along with outright lies.
Keep up the excellent work of behind the scenes methods and information used to combat this new battlefield.
Would you support a cease fire between Ukraine and Russia?
One of the top comments was, "I support Ukraine deciding for themselves. It's their blood, their land, their decision."
It was absolutely flooded with bot responses, but the interesting thing IMO was one of the user-XYZ responses was,
"Yeah and our money and our weapons."
But for whatever reason that exact user avatar with that exact same response showed up in Cyrillic on my mobile YT app (his user name) in my notifications. Every other post/repsonse showed up in English still and I don't use a VPN for YT so my IP was based in the states. I think between all the gaslighting, the overzealous YT filters and the fact that Russian bot farms seem to be able to control the narritive on the first hour or so on most YT videos pertaining to Ukraine they are crushing the intro wars and it really concerns me. Esepcially on MSM media pages.
Yes we are failing miserably on the lower internets. Consider that fascist Russia isn’t constrained by anything other then TOS enforcement - for the longest time they were willing to say anything to advance some perceived agenda, and now that’s especially acute. They dig stuff out of (someone else’s) ground, steal half outright, spend half on thugs and guns and prisons, spend next half on military grade propaganda, if there’s anything left maybe education and medicine will get something. Science there is a byproduct of military industrial complex. If you thought it’s bad here, down there you can arbitrarily kill people and classify ALL POTENTIAL EVIDENCE so every project is a black project.
Oh yea and today they announced return of vendettas officially , starting with Chechnyas. If they can’t get you, any relative’s blood will do.
Thanks for writing this, Ryan! followed this account the other day on Twitter. However after about an hour, unfollowed it -- something about the frequency of tweets and the fantastical claims made me think this person was just trolling an agenda and had no legitimate military experience.
If TikTok is an information warfare program run by the communist party of China, what is "X"? I gather that I can find the same "information" in both places.
Ryan, I've heard noise here and there about tiktok, but always from sources that either don't flesh out this position, or aren't trustworthy for that kind of claim (if Mike glover speaks, I take the whole salt-shaker). your mention of this grabbed *all* of my attention straight away, because your positions much more thorough.

Note that while bad English is a great tell (not all bad English, but the kind that sounds bad to locals), weird punctuation isn’t. Often people invent their own punctuation standards and double bang is an easy one.
I exclusively use either one or two punctuation ('!', '?') marks when I use them. I virtually never use more than two. Just one or two comfortably avoids the appearance of holding down a key for an arbitrary amount of time. What's your source for the claim that Americans rarely use only two?
I have been using ICD 203 standards to explain to other people why information, even from the main stream media, has to be questioned. I'm not sure if it helps, but it makes me feel better. Thanks for introducing it to me.
One more observation about the "bear" attack. Why would one care concealed in the forest? You don't want the bear to know you have a gun? ;)

When I’m on TikTok, I try to stick to Booktok and indie author accounts. I’m less likely to run into bots, and I find the accounts useful.
