The Russian narrative behind this story is that a Ukrainian soldier tried to surrender to a Russian Drone. A Ukrainian FPV drone killed the surrendering Ukrainian soldier as the Russian drone lead the soldier back to Russian lines.
However, FPV drone came from what would have ostensibly been Russian lines. If this was really a Ukrainian attack, the drone would have come from the opposite direction - from behind the surrendering soldier.
However, there is a non-zero chance that the soldier was killed by a drone that had missed its target and was turning around or by an FPV drone that was on its way back to Ukrainian lines after a filed mission which decided to hit a target of opportunity.
The most telling indicator is that Russian Telegram and Twitter seems to be promoting this narrative hard.
