I don't have a lot of time so doing it podcast or live style takes up too much time for me. I will watch these things if I can turn the video off and am working on my computer. BUT it doesn't happen all that much that I am on my computer and not doing something that requires my full attention. Perhaps that is because I don't have enough attention units to spread around any more, but there you go. If you could make this into a 10 minute You Tube video, that would go over better for me. I don't know how many others are suffering from the same malaise as I, but I hope there are lots! I really like your stuff and would hate to be barred from it by its length. Like: TLDR.
The U.S. did NOT fund development of Iron Dome, the development was entirely Israel. We funded purchase of batteries beyond the first few, and subsequent Tamir interceptor replacement, in order to raise the trigger point where rocket/missile fire would cause Israel to conduct ground operations.
There are other Israeli BMD systems like Arrow where we did help fund development.
I'm seeing a lot of people saying the Tiktok ban was “snuck” into law by being put into the Ukraine aid. Meanwhile I WATCHED the C-SPAN feed of the House voted, and every item was voted for individually, including the tiktok bill (HR.7521). I don't know if it's propaganda or people just being ignorant.
The interesting thing about the 25.8 billion aid to the Middle East is how no one seems to know what it is for.
We can argue whether or not it is a good idea, but 9.2 billion / 10% is going to keep Hamas in power and prolong the war.
The remaining 16.6 billion is a mystery.
You say that 13 billion goes to US forces in the Middle East "defense activities" and 3.6 is to give the Israelis weapons. If that is true, it means that this law has little to do with Israel and more with Hamas that gets almost 3 times as much
Al Jazeera has a different distribution: 5.2 billion to replenish Israeli air defense (patriots / iron dome interceptors), 3.5 other US weapons to Israel, 4.4 other US supplies to Israel, 1 billion to Israeli industry, and 3 billion isn't defined.
