In my professional career (I’m now retired), I always said…kill em with the data. Data speaks volumes. Yes, data can be manipulated, but the credibility comes from having multiple independent sources. I admire what you do and with the ethics in which you do it. Thanks for the clock time so I could skip over his rants. I was willing to listen to his views, but quickly realized he was just spewing nonsense. Making claims with no sources, no data and just spewing whatever he’s been brainwashed to believe. Hope the bridge incident isn’t impacting your world directly. Most of those hundred volunteers a year stay in Israel afterwards. There are a children of Israeli ex-pats with dual citizenship who go to Israel to serve and there are ardent Zionists who decide to follow through with their convictions. There are not many non Israeli Jews who would go to Israel to serve in the military and then go back home to UK, unless they became disillusioned or couldn't make it in Israel, because if you are that committed to the Jewish state that you are prepared to die for it, then you are going to stay there.
I remember when I was that age (I came to Israel from UK), there were people who went into the volunteer scheme because it shortened their army service that they would have been required to do anyway as new citizens. The way the conscription works is that if you arrive before you are 18, you are liable for full service and it goes down as you get older on your date of entry until you are totally free from conscription.
This insane communist says in the video that returning IDF soldiers will be arrested in South Africa. Could you investigate this claim, and is it more evidence that South Africa is actively on Hama and Iran's side in the war?
My oldest daughter works at a company that has a Russian Jewish lady as their accounting manager. Very nice lady. She grew up in the Soviet Union and is very anti-communist. Now a US citizen. Her son had gone to Israel some time back and did two or three years in the IDF voluntarily. He was discharged about a month or so before Oct 7, 2023. He has no reserve obligation as he is a US citizen and he chose to not go back and re-enlist although he could have and the IDF would probably had been glad to get him back. This is not uncommon for non-Israeli resident Jews to join the IDF voluntarily, serve their time, and get out.
