I am proud of you for taking the leap to become a full time journalist. Of course, you have take brave steps many times before. Know that you have a lot of supporters, myself included. So from one NJ, IT guy to a former NJ, now former IT guy, go get 'em!

I was glad to see some many get out of that Bradley in relatively good condition, we can always send more Bradleys. 🥰

This is such a wise investment in knowledge, and supporting reporting that has value in our society. There will be no 7 minute news report on any topic on TV. Keep up the strong work.

I think that’s kind of where I come into play. I can give people more than 30 seconds the nightly news really can’t.

The "nightly news" won't. We, the public, want "blood and guts" but not too much. Maybe if we saw, smelled and tasted war we would be less likely to enter into it. Thanks for your commentary, it is much better than the "nightly news."

My grandfather backed over a tellermine in his M8 armored car in WWII. Just glad Pop got home in one piece. I’m not judging anyone accidentally stuck in a minefield.

I would be curious to find out why the vehicles end up so bunched up? I would assume they knew they were crossing a minefield as someone mentioed there was a vehicle with a mine clearing kit on in the mix. What would would SOP be in a cituation like that? Also on the Russian side I think they said there was a Ka-52 in the air nearby wouldnt there be some sort of AA unit to support an armored column?

You should be a DOD spokesperson, as a private contractor of course

The army has been pretty good at letting me into things. So is the Space Force. So I guess I kind of am a DOD mouthpiece, although it’s really because I love soldiers.

Do the Ukrainian's not have M58 MICLICs or the Soviet equivalent UR-77 Meteorit? Any unit can have a bad day and stumble into a mine field, however I would think that knowingly conducting breaching operations without MICLICs or equivalents is unnecessary risk.

Great video Ryan. Pardon my ignorance but I would have thought these marked lanes were virtual gps software updates transferred in real time to each vehicle. (Like fancy reverse camera lines) Are the sensor ranges for these updates smaller/shorter than the optics ranges used in targeting threats? Are these data uplinks between vehicles able to be jammed by the Russians? Also the smoke, I would have thought vehicle smoke would be ranges of great than 100-500 metres. Is there a chance that smoke was from infantry persons?

There must be some balance in nature. I quit my job as a truck driver and I'm working on my degree in IT :)

Thank you Ryan for sharing your point of view on military subjects. It's difficult to watch the news sometimes. Making sense of this is even harder.

I mean combat, because politically it's much simpler.

Good luck on your new journey!

Armchair warrior here...so maybe this is a silly question...but why so long to pop smoke?

Could’ve been as simple as nobody thought of it, or they couldn’t find it in the vehicle.
