Quantum computing and adjacent quantum technologies still haven’t reached full maturity. Per the Congressional Research Service (CRS), quantum computers, which could radically transform and speed up computing processes, are at least ten (10) years out according to the DoD’s own cautiously optimistic assessments. Despite the nascent nature of quantum technologies, the US government is taking steps to lead in this area of computing.
