On Friday, August 1st, the Bureau of Labor Statistics Director Erika McEntarfer was fired by President Trump after a job report which showed less than stellar job creation.

The major issue here is that we need accurate job and hiring information in the event of a conflict to predict hiring and allocation of labor. If our numbers for employment are wrong, we could enter a conflict without the full understanding of labor that needs to be allocated toward military production.
