Are Drones Looking for a Nuclear Weapon in New Jersey?

The inverse square law strikes again

This is not happening. John Ferguson is either lying or does not know anything about nuclear weapons or radiation.

Quick note: misspoke in the video. START stands for Strategic Arms Reduction Talks. SALT was the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks.

The biggest issue with the video is that radiation follows the “Inverse Square Law” meaning that if you double your distance from the source and the radiation goes down by a factor of four.

This would make it very difficult for a drone - even a low flying drone to detect a radioactive source, especially one that was well shielded. An unshielded device could very well kill the driver.

It is also highly unlikely that Russia would allow a nuclear weapon to “go missing” much less 80 of them while it was at war in Chechnya.

The United States does not want war with Russia. This is a clue that John Ferguson has been consuming too much Russian media.
