A Military Revolution?
Sometimes the revolution doesn't exist
“War, war never changes.”
It’s a great line. It’s a great piece of advertising. It sounds profound. It feels true in your bones and rattles around in your skull kingdom like bullets ricocheting inside an armored vehicle. Blood, mud, fear, violence. All of those constants show up whether you’re talking about a Bronze Age warrior or a U.S. Marine patrolling Helmand Province.
There’s a problem, however: Taken literally, the line is woefully wrong.
